Here a shot of the Rutland yards in Burlington Vermont around 1900.
Notice the Grand old station and the busy lumber port. This was taken in
Battery Park which overlooks the harbor.
This is a shot of the same harbor but here you can clearly see the
breakwater which is still there today. The old house on it though is long
gone. Must of been neat to live out there!
Here it is today taken from the same spot in battery park. The boat
house in this picture was built several years ago. Only one set of tracks
through here now. It is today a park of sorts with the bike path and boat
launches surrounded by a few condo's and some offices.
